Sodium Pyrrolidone Carboxylate (Na PCA ) is a kind of natural moisturizing factor (NMF) in the human skins; it has more stronger water absorption capacity than glycerin, sorbic alcohol and propylene glycol. Under the same environmental conditions, the water absorption capacity of the sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate (Na PCA) is 1.5 time of glycerin, 2 times of propylene glycol and 6 times of sorbic alcohol. It has been an important additive ingredient for skincare and hair-care cosmetics for many years.
