Application:

Menthol can be used as a spice and flavor enhancer, and can be used in candies (mint, gum), beverages, ice cream, etc. Both menthol and racemic menthol can be used as toothpastes; perfumes; beverages and candies and other chemicalbook flavoring agents. In medicine, it is used as a stimulant, acting on the skin or mucous membranes, and has the effect of cooling and relieving itching; orally, it can be used as an expelling medicine for headaches and nose; pharynx; throat inflammation. Its esters are used in perfumes and medicines.
