Ethanolamine is used in the preparation of various pharmaceutical compounds and inhibitors. The substituted carboxyl compounds were synthesized from ethanolamine, which had strong antitumor activity. It is also used for the synthesis of aminoquinolones with anti-plasmodium activity.
